A story about how one man learned never to cheat.

Once upon a time, there was a football player named Alex. He was a wide receiver for the Georgia Bulldogs, and his jersey number was eleven. Alex, who was 21 years old, had long brown hair and brown eyes. He was also taller than the Empire State Building and tougher than Godzilla. Ever since the fifth grade, kids have bullied Alex for wanting to play football. However, his brother James always encouraged him to follow his dream of playing for the National Football League (NFL).
Alex was so close to reaching that dream. All he needed to do now was practice for his big game, which was just one day away. If his team won, he would get a contract to play for the Las Vegas Raiders. “I need to join the Raiders. I need to win,” he said to himself every morning. So, he planned a scheme to make sure his team won.
Alex decided he was going to bribe the referee before the game began with $5,000. He just needed to figure out how he was going to do this without getting caught. After thinking all night long, Alex came up with a plan. He was going to put $5,000 in an envelope with a secret message on a note for the referee.
The note would say, “Do as I say. Take this $5,000 and make my football team win tomorrow or else…..”

Not only did Alex plan to bribe the referee, but also the money he put inside the envelope was fake. With his new plan in mind, Alex decided to Google Search the home address of the referee, Joe Victoria, who would be in charge of his game. After finding out his address, Alex drove to Joe’s house, put the envelope under Joe’s entrance mat, rang his doorbell, and quickly ran to the car before Joe could see. “He’s never going to find out it was me,” Alex whispered to himself. Alex then went to his car and waited.
Joe swung open the front door with a walking cane in one hand and slowly bent over to pick up the envelope. After Joe picked up the envelope, Alex had an evil smile on his face and drove home saying, “I can do this,” but he didn’t notice the camera outside of Joe’s house. The next morning, Alex woke up still grinning. He knew whatever happened today at the big game, his team would win. Alex drove to his game early and didn’t even bother to practice. Once the game began, though, Alex immediately got tackled once he had the ball. He didn’t even see it coming. Alex slowly brought his head up to see who dared to tackle him. His mouth dropped once he lifted his head and saw who it was.
It wasn’t a member of the other team. It was a man with a blue shirt, brown pants, blue hat, black vest, badge, walkie-talkie, handcuffs, and a German shepherd. The man’s eyebrows were squinted inward and his lips glued together. The man swiftly took out his handcuffs and put them on Alex. Alex said, “What? Get your hands off me.” Then, he kicked the man in the leg. The man said, “I got him. It’s the man who tried to bribe the referee,” into his walkie-talkie. Then he grabbed Alex’s arms and threw him in the back of his car. All Alex could hear were loud sirens like “wee-woo” as tears streamed down his face.
The next day, Alex woke up in an orange jumpsuit and behind metal bars. He found out he would have to stay there for 14 days. Two weeks later, he left the super-secure building and learned a very important lesson.
