Do you want to know how to compare and contrast?

First, let me explain how to compare. Comparing is like finding similarities between two or more things. For example, my friend Amaia both are in the 3rd grade and are girls.

Now, contrasting is the difference between things. For example, like me (Annabel) and Amaia, we don’t have the same hair. Amaia has darker hair than mine. We also use Venn diagrams to compare and contrast.

Venn diagrams have two circles on top of each other. We place similarities in the middle of the circle and on the outer sides we put the differences.

For example, we can contrast the outer sides to find differences. For example, we would put Amaia, who has dark hair, on one side, and Annabel, who has light hair, on the other.

In the middle, we put similarities. We would put “3rd grade” and “girls” because that’s what we have in common.

In conclusion, that’s all we know about comparing and contrasting.
