Do you want to know everything about how to summarize? Firstly, a summary is a condensed version of an original text. Condensed just means shorter.

To summarize a long text, just take the first sentence of each paragraph and put it in your own words.

For example, I will summarize my classmate Bronsyn’s story by taking the first sentence of each paragraph and putting it into my own words.

There was a football player named Alex.

Alex dreamed of playing football.

Alex decided bride the referee.

He googled up the referee house.

Joe picked up the envelope with money.

It was not a person from the other team, it was a policeman who arrested him.

Alex woke up in an orange suit and behind bars.

It’s important to remember to make sure your summary includes the 5Ws – who, what, when, where, and why.

In conclusion, that is everything I know about summarizing.
